Counselling
Healing happens in safe, supportive spaces.
At the WASH House, we offer free, confidential, and trauma-informed counselling for women aged 16 and over who live in Mt Druitt and surrounding areas. You don’t need a referral, just reach out when you're ready — we’re here to walk beside you.
We understand that every woman’s story is different. Whether you're navigating difficult circumstances now or carrying the weight of past experiences, you deserve support, care, and the opportunity to heal in your own time and in your own way.
Our counselling service is:
Voluntary – you're in control of what you share and when
Flexible – choose between face-to-face, phone, or video sessions
Short-term – up to 10 sessions focused on what matters to you
Empowering – grounded in your strengths, your values, and your goals
You will be met with compassion, not judgment. Our counsellors are trained to provide safe, culturally aware, and trauma-informed support. You will always have choice and control.
We can support you with:
The impacts of trauma, domestic and family violence, or sexual assault
Grief and loss, whether recent or long-standing
Anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm
Anger, stress, and burnout
Building self-worth, confidence, and healthy boundaries
Improving communication, navigating conflict, or parenting challenges
Reconnecting with your strengths and restoring your sense of safety
You are not alone. You are not broken. Healing is possible — and you are already on your way.
Let us support you as you take the next step.
